Life Imitating Cinema

Taken in Japan, South Africa, Botswana and South Korea, these images form a part of a story – evident throughout most of my work – of the influence of cinema on photographs taken. Working in the film industry for six years has made me look to cinematographers and their works for inspiration. These photographs capture the mood and spatial memory of such favored films, subconsciously recreating them in visited settings.
