© Gui ChristBoa Vista is 320.000 inhabitants Brazilian city closed to the Venezuelan border and on the last five years have been receiving almost 1.000 Venezuelan immigrants every days. Due its limited connection to the rest of country and the increasing economic crisis in Venezuela the city just collapsed because of the massive Venezuelan immigration stuck on its streets.

This project documented the severe conditions faced by 50.000 immigrants living at the city till the Brazilian Government’s intervention on May of 2018. By that time, over 10.000 people were living in the streets and public shelters, seeking for any chance of surviving and make money to send to their families in Venezuela.
