Cash Out
© Franck BohbotFranck Bohbot is known for his evocative and cinematic images that capture the essence of the places he visits. In his new series Cash Out he documents the gambling capital of the world: “Las Vegas, taking a closer look at the city known for its glitz, glamour, and excess. In his images, he captures the full range of emotions that the city inspires in its residents and visitors, from hope and excitement to disillusionment and despair. One of the most fascinating aspects of Bohbot's work is his focus on the city's gambling culture and the relationship that people have with the machines which he captures with a cinematic approach.

In Cash Out we see the people who come to Vegas to escape their problems and the glitzy facades of the casinos that promise a chance at fortune.
The pictures are story-driven, both beautiful and haunting, capturing the addictive nature of gambling and the way it can consume people's lives.
Las Vegas also known as "Sin City," where people from all walks of life come to try their luck at the casinos. For many, the experience of cashing out - either after a big win or a crushing loss - can be emotional, exhilarating, or even life-changing.
In many ways, Franck Bohbot’s images are reminiscent of the iconic 1995 film "Casino", directed by Martin Scorsese, which explores the rise of the Las Vegas casino industry and the characters who helped build it, one of the Artist’s favorite movies. His images also evoke the desperation and dream-chasing that is portrayed in films like "Leaving Las Vegas"
Vegas could be described as a marvelous disaster, capturing the contradictory emotions that the city inspires in its residents and visitors. Sin City is a place of dreams and illusions, where anything seems possible. But it is also a place of harsh realities and bitter disappointments. Bohbot's photographs capture the city's grandeur and grittiness, revealing its complex and contradictory nature. From the neon lights of the iconic Strip to the seedy underbelly of the city's back alleys, he creates a visual narrative that is at once seductive and unsettling.
Here people come to take a chance on their luck, to escape from the mundane realities of everyday life, and to live out their wildest dreams. Whether it’s, gambling all night long, blowing on dice at the craps table, crossing their fingers for a winning hand of poker, or simply enjoying the luxurious amenities of a five-star hotel, visitors to Sin City are seeking an experience that is both exhilarating and surreal.
Bohbot's photographs remind us that Las Vegas is a place where anything can happen, where we can escape the mundanity of our daily lives, a place where the thrill of the unknown is what keeps people coming back time and time again.
