Cuddle Party

© Lauren Greenfield

Cuddle Parties claim to be non-sexual events where adults get together for safe, playful interaction. Cuddle parties began in New York in 2004 as way for adults to incorporate more intimate touch in their lives. Pajama-clad single men and women are invited to touch strangers and can exchange numbers and “hook-up” afterward. There are strict rules: no alcohol, no nudity and no "dry humping". Party-goers must ask permission to touch one another and have the right to refuse anytime.
