I Always Have To Repeat Myself

Commissioned for Saatchi Gallery’s ‘Selfie to Self-expression’ Exhibition in collaboration with Huawei

Haser always likes to take a photograph one step further, and mostly by printing it out and adding a paper cutting, folding, weaving or other technique to it. With this project she wanted to play with the idea of the digital and instant capture of images on social media. One set reflects on the way we can now take photograph upon photograph without batting an eye, and the other set concentrates on the pixilation and the capability of modern camera phones. Both using a very hands on, tactile analogue ‘paper’ technique.
