© David MaiselDavid Maisel’s “Oil Rig” is an exploration of two rigs. An active oil platform called Genesis, located in the Gulf of Mexico, 150 miles south of New Orleans, and moored in 2,600ft of water. The second rig is now an inactive facility, currently housed on-land in Gaviota, California.
