The Traina Sisters

© Lauren Greenfield

The high-profile daughters of best-selling author Danielle Steele, Victoria(19) and Vanessa (20) Traina are beautiful, fashionable socialites with their mother’s penchant for haute couture. They shop so regularly that they are on a first name basis with many of the salespeople and call them their friends.

Though warm and down-to-earth, they grew up in a 55-room mansion in San Francisco with a clothing allowance that affords them Hermes Birkin “schoolbags”, the entire Proenza Schuler spring line and clothes selected from the runways and the designer look-books.

Clad in Pucci at the pool at the exclusive Soho House, perusing an exhibition at the Matthew Marks Gallery, being snapped by paparazzi, and of course, nightclubbing, “living dolls” shows fashion in the world of the socialite in the era of the party girl epitomized by Paris Hilton.
