Vienna Opera Ball© Immo Klink
Is the most prominent Ball of the Vienna Ball season happening every year between January and March in Austria. It starts with a red-carpet entrance televised by many German speaking television channels. Yet behind this there it is still an authentic event and representation of who is who in Viennese society representing aristocracy, business, politicians and civil servants as well as cultural representative if they are sympathetic to the event.
This story was commissioned by DAS MAGAZIN in Switzerland. The story in German written by Max Kueng could be made available on request.
My interest was to portrait this authentic and old fashioned event with a fashion angle: To dress in expensive or famous designer clothes at the Opera Ball won’t do. Most dresses are especially made by tailors in Vienna. -Immo Klink
